I have a Masters of Divinity in Biblical Counseling from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Communication Studies with a Minor in Psychology and Sociology from Clemson University. I have been a Biblical Counselor for over 13 years—providing both in-person sessions in South Tampa as well as virtual counseling services all over the world. I specialize in a wide variety of counseling issues including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma and abuse, marriage counseling, conflict resolution, overcoming professional and personal mental blocks, identifying and healing from core wounds as well as a wide variety of family issues including counseling for teens and parents of teens.
Psalm 103:14 best informs how I counsel in that it says that the Lord remembers how we are formed and knows that we are made of dust. This means that God takes into account your individual story, your biology, your cognitive biases and the unique ways in which you struggle. Together, we will seek to do the same. Here, you have found a safe place to bring everything to the table without fear of judgment or receiving overly simplistic advice. I believe that all truth is God’s truth which means that while God’s Word is my final authority on life, I also incorporate science, psychology and practical steps into my counseling.
